Court Sentenced A Youth To 3 Years Imprisonment On Embezzlement And Fraud Charges
The Criminal Court sentenced a youth to three-years imprisonment with hard labor on embezzlement and fraud charges. According to the charge sheet, the youth swindled a woman of KD 84 thousand after establishing an Instagram account with the name of a GCC royal member and using it to defraud people with the hope of generating more returns in the real estate investment. When the woman realized she became a victim of fraud, she filed a case against the youth through her attorney Lawyer Jarrah Al-Enezi. During the court session, the defendant was convicted and found guilty of all charges leveled against him, including misuse of social media to commit fraud.
