08 February 2018 Crime News

The Criminal Court acquitted an Egyptian expatriate who was accused of smuggling Tremadol pills from Egypt into Kuwait for peddling and consumption. The Public Prosecution had charged the suspect of bringing the illicit items illegally into the country. During the court session, the defense counsel Lawyer Enam Haidar called for the invalidation of the arrest and search procedures, as they were conducted on his client without a valid arrest warrant. She also affirmed the lack of incriminating evidences against her client, adding that he, throughout the interrogation, denied having anything to do with the contraband that was found in his possession.
