Drug enforcement officials have apprehended a Kuwaiti citizen involved in the cultivation and distribution of marijuana, seizing a substantial quantity of illicit substances and related materials.
As part of ongoing security initiatives led by the criminal security sector, intensified efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect the community from its harmful effects have been prioritized. Under the direct supervision of Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Ministry of Interior has been vigilant in overseeing these operations.
The Local Control Department of the General Department of Narcotics Control successfully apprehended an individual operating a facility for the cultivation and storage of marijuana. Upon arrest, the individual was found in possession of 45 marijuana plant seedlings, 4 kilograms of processed marijuana ready for distribution, as well as cash believed to be proceeds from illicit activities. Additionally, equipment for packaging and preparing drugs for sale was seized.
The accused individual and confiscated items have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.
