Bangladeshi Abducted, Robbed
Security operatives have arrested a gang of four Bangladeshis who kidnapped and severely assaulted their compatriot, and stole his mobile phone plus KD200 cash.
A security source said it’s evident that the suspects actually committed the crime. They have since been referred to the concerned authority for necessary legal measures to be taken against them.
Earlier, it was reported that officers from Sulaibiya Security Command had launched an investigation into the kidnapping and assault of the victim by four his compatriots.
They are said to have held the victim against his will and severely assaulted him, after which they tied him up for roughly four hours, and stole his mobile plus wallet containing the aforementioned sum.
A security source said the victim later went to the area police station and lodged a complaint accusing the gang of four Bangladeshis, two of whom he knows, of kidnapping him from his apartment in Amghara area.
He said the suspects tied his hands for almost four hours before stealing the money, in addition to his mobile phone. Apparently, a passerby who heard him shouting for help had come to his rescue . He later went to a hospital for treatment and brought the medical report to support his claim.
