28 June 2021 Kuwait

The Austrian embassy in the country announced that it would welcome travelers from Kuwait starting from the first of next July, pointing to their country, which opened its borders for Eid from countries, including those coming from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

They added in a statement, a copy of which was received by Al-Rai, that this decision is an important step towards Austria’s implementation of a strategy for the post-Covid-19 pandemic to restore social and economic activities under safe measures.

They stressed that fully vaccinated citizens and residents of Kuwait who have a valid Schengen visa will be able to travel to Austria, and unvaccinated children under 18 and traveling with their parents will also be able to enter Austria without the need for quarantine.

The statement indicated that the list of approved vaccines in Austria is Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson, Moderna, Snofarm and Sinovac, and all travelers must submit a negative PCR test upon entry.
