Assault And Rape Charges Leveled Against Kuwaiti Youth By A Maid Working With Their Family
The Court of Appeals acquitted a university student of assault and rape charges leveled against him by a maid who works for his family. The case files indicated the Public Prosecution accused the 20-year old university student of assault and rape of the maid. The plaintiff (maid) claimed the defendant assaulted her while she was cleaning the bathroom before raping her.
The maid affirmed that there was nobody else in the house at that time, so she went to the domestic workers bureau to file a report.
Defense Lawyer Muhammad Ayed Al-Suleili told the court that his client is a well behaved man who’s engaged to a Kuwaiti lady, and he intends to get married immediately after completing his education. Lawyer Al-Suleili added that his client’s friends proved that he is an honorable man; thus the charges leveled against him could be malicious considering that no bruises or mark was found on the accused
