Appointments And Promotions In State Agencies Were Halted By The Government

In response to the decision published in the Official Gazette by H.H the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, various ministries and state agencies have initiated administrative measures in their departments and affiliated sectors. Appointments, promotions, transfers, secondments, and assignment decisions will be suspended for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of an extension.

Al-Qabas reported that government agencies are now in the process of circulating a directive that mandates the withdrawal of all decisions made since the Crown Prince issued his decision on December 5, 2023.

In addition, administrative procedures regarding interview committees for filling positions will be suspended. A freeze on appointment and promotion processes is also included in the decision.
