Ambassador Explore Ways Of Enhancing Collaboration In The Pharmaceuticals Domain

Indian Ambassador Shri Sibi George discussed ways of enhancing collaboration in the pharmaceuticals domain with the Ministry of Health officials. In its meeting held last week, Ambassador discussed with H.E. Dr. Abdullah Al-Bader, Assistant Undersecretary for Food and Drug Control at Ministry of Health, about imports of Indian generics medicines to Kuwait. The meeting also discussed the potential possibilities of Joint Venture manufacturing with Indian pharma companies. Other matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.

Indian pharma industry today is a $42 billion industry and supplies over 60 percent of the global vaccine demand. According to available information, the Indian pharmaceutical industry emerged as a dependable partner and demonstrated tremendous commitment towards patients across countries by ensuring an uninterrupted supply of medicines.
