All Countries Worldwide Are Engaged In A Fierce Battle Against Drugs
Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Khalid Al- Dayeen has affirmed that all countries worldwide are engaged in a fierce battle against drugs which have been threatening their safety, stability and social security and harming the young generation, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In a press statement, he explained that Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah has made fighting drugs and protecting youths from the dangers of drug use as a top priority. The premier issued directives to all concerned security sectors regarding the need to adopt developed ideas and scientific methods to combat drugrelated crimes. Major General Al-Dayeen stressed that the Criminal Security Sector will continue to wage a war on drug dealers and drug smugglers until their operations are thwarted and they are brought to justice.
;He revealed that the leadership of the ministry has provided securitymen with modern equipment for ensuring success in identifying the developed methods used by the drug gangs and mafias for smuggling drugs into the country. Major General Al-Dayeen indicated that the sector, through coordination between Drugs Control General Department and Criminal Investigations Department, successfully confiscated 9.16 kilograms of methamphetamine, 3.13 kilograms of heroin, 148 kilograms of hashish, 7 kilograms of marijuana, 7 kilograms of “Chemical” drug, one kilogram of Avion drug, 177,000 brain stimulant pills and 5,500 bottles of imported liquor in the second quarter of the year (April, May and June 2017).
