A Lawyer In Egypt Stabs An Imam After He Testifies Against Him

Local media reported that an Egyptian lawyer was arrested for allegedly stabbing an imam of a local mosque after testifying against him in a dispute with his brother.

It is reported that the imam survived the attack but sustained serious injuries throughout his body and was hospitalized.

Reports indicate that the attacker, a 30-year-old lawyer, hasn't practiced law for a while.

Using a kitchen knife and a wooden stick, he attacked the imam after Taraweeh prayers, because he testified against him in a dispute between his brother and the attacker.

Currently, the suspect is being investigated after being detained. Further legal actions will be taken by the public prosecution.
