A Kuwaiti Man Beaten, Robbed By 7 People
A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was beaten and robbed by seven people five males and two females, Rochester, US, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the Rochester Police Department (RPD), the main suspect, identified only as 23-year-old Malawi Loukawila, is in police custody.
According to the address provided by the 40-year-old victim he lives in Rochester. The daily added, when an eyewitness saw the gang attacking and robbing the victim, he alerted the RPD. As the police officers approached, the suspects escaped from the scene.
However, a short time later, police saw a car as that fitted the description given by the eyewitness pull into a downtown alley. The officer stopped the car and found seven people inside five men and two women all of whom were well known to local law enforcement. One of the men, Loukawila, left the car and attempted to dispose of a wallet in a nearby garbage bin, according to police. He matched a description given by the witness of a person involved in the assault and robbery. The wallet found in the bin belonged to the victim, and police found a set of brass knuckles in the area. Loukawila was arrested, and police identified the other occupants of the car. The RPD said, Loukawila could face charges for aggravated assault and robbery. The victim was bloodied and incoherent at the scene. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance, according to a police officer handling the case. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
