A Fire Damages A Building In Khaitan, Causing Five To Suffocate

An early morning building fire was put out today in Khaitan after it broke out at dawn after firefighters evacuated the home from its residents, 5 of whom suffered from mild suffocation and were treated on site.

Fire engines from Farwaniya, Sabhan and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh centers responded to a report of a residential building catching fire in Khaitan, according to the Public Relations and Media Department of the General Fire Brigade.

According to sources, the fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor, spread to the second and third floors through the balconies, and caused panic among the residents.

The firefighting teams began evacuating the residents and fighting the fire as soon as they arrived and were able to contain it quickly. Medical personnel treated five residents who inhaled smoke at the scene.
