70,000 Kuwaitis Visit Thailand Every Year: Al-khubaizi:

Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Walid Al-Khubaizi said Thailand provides all facilities to Kuwaiti visitors, saying the relations between the two friendly countries are development at a faster growth.

Speaking on the occasion of the Thai Embassy celebrations of its National Day, Al-Khubaizi stressed the bilateral relations between Kuwait the friendly Kingdom of Thailand are deep at all official, parliamentary and popular levels, pointing out that the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1963, and next year will celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the establishment of these ties, reports Al-Qabas.

Al-Khubaizi praised the efforts exerted by the government of Thailand to provide all facilities to Kuwaitis who visit Thailand for treatment and tourism, saying visas are available upon arrival at the airport and put the number of visitors to the Kingdom of Thailand at 70,000 annually.

While Al-Khubaizi pointed out that Kuwait Airways has restarted its commercial flights to Bangkok with 4 weekly flights, and stressed Bangkok is of great importance to Kuwait Airways, due to the high demand from Kuwaitis, either for treatment or tourism.
