4 Europeans Employees Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Assaulting Public Money

In a case of assaulting public money, the Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Abdullah Al-Osaimi, sentenced 4 employees of European nationality to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of double the embezzlement value of 11 million pounds, Al Qabas daily reported.

The court affirmed in its justifications that the state funds abroad, Kuwait Health Office in London was exposed to the crime of embezzlement over various periods.

An informed source told the daily that this ruling confirms the need for the strict protection of public funds at home and abroad.

Source added that the Public Prosecution made great efforts in this case, by investigating officials at home and abroad, and employees of the Ministry of Health, and concluded that there were documents proving these embezzled sums.
