3-Year Jail For Visa Traders
Al-Anbaa's sources reveal that a comprehensive project comprising 37 articles across 7 chapters is in the works. This initiative primarily focuses on delineating entry and deportation procedures for foreigners. It also covers the notification process for relevant authorities, addresses residency trafficking issues, and specifies penalties. A noteworthy aspect of the proposal is the provision granting Kuwaiti women married to foreigners the right to sponsor their husbands and children, provided they haven't acquired citizenship, as outlined in Article 8, among other penalties.
The government is eager for the swift approval of the project, which has clearly defined fees for residency, renewal processes, and various entry visas, all outlined through ministerial decisions.
This initiative takes a firm stance against the illicit trade of residency permits, including exploitation, recruitment, or aiding in the recruitment of foreigners for financial gain or other benefits. Violators will face severe penalties, including imprisonment for up to three years and fines ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 dinars.
In accordance with the law, Kuwaiti citizens are granted the right to obtain a residence permit for their foreign spouses and children.
