26th International Conference On Obstetrics And Gynecology Launches In Kuwait

Dr. Hanan Al-Husseini, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Jahra Hospital, has officially announced the kickoff of the 26th International Conference on Obstetrics and Gynecology in Kuwait. The event, held under the patronage of Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, is set to take place from February 8 to 10 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Dr. Al-Husseini, serving as the conference president, emphasized its significance as the most extensive scientific and training gathering in the field, according to reports from Al-Jarida daily.

The conference boasts significant participation, featuring 20 specialists from Arab and foreign countries, notably the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, Cyprus, India, Slovenia, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

Diverse topics will be covered during the conference, including pregnancy and childbirth, maternal and fetal medicine, fertility issues in both women and men, and the application of artificial intelligence in improving the quality and outcomes of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and assisted fertilization.

The primary goal of the conference is to provide insights into the latest scientific discoveries aimed at enhancing patient care. Discussions will encompass the future of embryology and genetics, advancements in robotic surgeries, the utilization of artificial intelligence in fetal sonographies, and therapeutic interventions for fetuses during pregnancy.

Dr. Al-Husseini highlighted that the event will explore genetic and hereditary testing before pregnancy and will address the legal and religious perspectives on the application of artificial intelligence in medicine, particularly in gynecology and obstetrics.

Before the conference, three workshops are scheduled, covering advanced detailed ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology, male surgeries for fertility operations, and hysteroscopy.

In a related context, Dr. Hisham Kalender, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for External Health Services Affairs, underscored the critical role of emergency medical departments in effectively responding to health emergencies.

Speaking at the opening of the Second Emergency Medicine Conference, Dr. Kalender outlined the Ministry of Health's commitment to enhancing health services, ensuring emergency departments stay abreast of global developments. He emphasized the importance of providing a conducive learning environment for medical personnel, keeping them informed about the latest medical technologies and practices aligned with globally applicable protocols. Dr. Kalender also highlighted the ministry's dedication to supporting scientific research and medical discoveries, aiming to enhance understanding of medical challenges and contribute to improved diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

Dr. Hanan Al-Razouqi, President of the Emergency Medicine Conference, expressed the unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and skill development in emergency medicine during the three-day event. The conference features the participation of 60 speakers and trainers from both inside and outside Kuwait, offering nine workshops across various emergency medicine domains.
