2,500 Kuwaiti Students In Egypt Prepared To Return
After the Egyptian Council of Ministers decided to postpone the exams until after the end of the mid-year vacation, about 2,500 Kuwaiti students in Egypt at various universities are preparing to return to the country during the next few days.
The head of the Kuwaiti Students' Union in Egypt, Ahmad Al-Shammari, said in statements to Al-Qabas: Most Kuwaiti students are thinking of returning to Kuwait after postponing the exams, as the number of those who expressed their desire to return to Kuwait is estimated at 2,500 students.
Al-Shammari added that the crisis of direct flight cessation continues to increase the suffering of the Kuwaiti student and drains his time and budget, and despite the situation being presented more than once to the responsible authorities in Kuwait, so far there is no solution to this problem, and the exceptions do not include Kuwaiti students despite the fact that transportation Between the two countries is available, and I do not know the reason for stopping this directly.
Al-Shammari ended his speech by saying that so far, no Kuwaiti student in Egypt has been infected with the Coronavirus, and the Union has not received any news that one of its students has been infected, and that the Union is closely following all the procedures and developments related to the epidemiological situation in Egypt and everything that entails.
Vacation and tourism
For their part, a number of students expressed their stay in Egypt during the mid-year vacation after postponing the exams, and their unwillingness to return to Kuwait.
Musaed Al-Enezi, a student at Alexandria University, justified that the winter and calm atmosphere in Egypt motivated him to spend the mid-year vacation, especially after the exams were postponed. He added that everything is available and this vacation can be enjoyed despite the spread of Corona, as there are many interesting things in the city that can be done without the risk of infection.
Shaimaa, a student at Zagazig University, believes that the difficulty of flying and returning to Kuwait, and her need to prepare for more tests, pushes her to stay in Egypt during this vacation.
She told «Al-Qabas» that most of her classmates decided to return to Kuwait, but she and the other will remain in Egypt in order to prepare for the second semester more.
Shaima pointed out that the epidemiological situation has become global today, and therefore the place is no longer much different, and that the decision to stay or not is due to the goal behind it, which makes me stay during this vacation to study and train more and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere in Egypt.
