226 Supervisory Positions To Be Filled By Mew
Jassim Al-Ustad, Acting Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, confirmed that 226 supervisory positions, including 20 department directors, 50 controllers, 153 department heads, and three division heads, are being filled.
The minister, in his response to a parliamentary query raised by MP Dr. Muhammad Al-Huwaila, said the Ministry seeks to fill these positions, according to a copy obtained by Al-Seyassah daily, that it has prepared a new mechanism to fill these positions and has added more conditions that do not conflict with the rules and regulations laid down by the Civil Service Commission in Resolution No. 25/2006 and its amendments.
A decision will be issued with the new conditions before the window for receiving applications for the vacant positions is opened, Al-Ustad said.
As a result of the CSC's earlier decision to "cease appointment of supervisors," these positions remained vacant until now.
In his explanation, the current priority is to nominate those who hold leadership positions in the ministry, which will in turn facilitate the selection of the most qualified and worthy candidates.
