Public Authority For Manpower Denies Transfer Of Agricultural, Shepherd And Fishing Sectors Visas
Official sources from Public Authority for Manpower denied the recent reports that the authority is considering allowing the transfer of work permits for laborers of the agricultural, industrial, shepherding and fishing sectors with the approval of their sponsors, through payment of KD 300. They insisted that the authority does not intend to even discuss this issue, let alone take such a decision.
The sources affirmed that the authority’s regulation in this regard allows laborers with work permits under agricultural, industrial, shepherding and fishing sectors to transfer their work permits to only the same sector after completing one year of service. They urged media to be accurate when publishing such news, as they are sensitive and affect a large sector of laborers whose feelings need to be considered.
