One-night Rental Raids Planned

Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, first deputy prime minister and minister of interior, and Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, Undersecretary of the Ministry, have given the Morality Investigation Department the green light to intensify security campaigns in daily rental apartments suspected of hosting illegal activities, reports Al-Rai daily.

Sources said the moral investigation officers formed security teams that were assigned in various governorates where they work round the clock to monitor activities in daily rental apartments in order to uncover violations and take action against all those involved in unscrupulous acts. It has been revealed that officers have been instructed to refer expatriates found to be engaging in illegal activities to the appropriate authorities for legal action, including deportation.
