Narcotics, Mobile Phones, Charging Cables, And Sharp Tools Were Found During A Prison Raid
Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Minister of Defense, directed correctional institutions to eradicate the scourge of drugs and clean the Central Prison of narcotics, which was carried out by personnel from the correctional institutions. Prisoners were searched for contraband in wards at the Central Prison and the public prison and narcotic substances, mobile phones, charging cables, and sharp tools were seized.
The prison security men received information that some prisoners had prohibited items hidden in their cells, according to the Al-Anba daily.
Before the raiding party moved in, the prisoners were monitored, information was collected about them, the places where prohibited items were hidden.
The General Department of Correctional Institutions reported the raid began at dawn and resulted in the seizure of narcotic substances (shabu, hashish, chemicals, tools of abuse).
Prisoners were investigated, cases were registered against them, and they were referred to the appropriate authorities.
