The domestic workers who have renewed their residence permit after the issuance of the decision to cancel the residence stickers and replace it with the civil ID card will not be able to leave the country without a civil ID, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources.
However, those domestic workers who have valid residence according to the previous system can leave the country with their passports since the new decision does not apply to them.
The sources said that verbal instructions have been issued by officials of the residence affairs sector to all ports of entry and exit concerning this change in travel for domestic workers.
