Kuwait, Tajikistan Sign 6 Joint Agreements
In the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a series of joint agreements were signed between Kuwait and Tajikistan on Sunday.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on joint political consultations between both nations' foreign ministries was signed. First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah signed the MoU with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodjidin Aslov.
Moreover, an agreement on security cooperation was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Tajik Minister of National Security Saymumin Yatimov.
Meanwhile, a MoU on education and scientific research was signed by Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Bader Al-Essa and his Tajik counterpart Nuriddin Saeed. Similarly, Minister of Communications and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Essa Ahmad Al-Kandari signed an agreement on aerial transportation with Tajik Minister of Transport Sherali Ganjalzoda.
An agreement on agricultural cooperation was also signed by both nations, as Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Al-Omair and Tajik Minister of Agriculture Mahmadtoir Zokirov were the signatories of that agreement.
A MoU was also signed between Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) and the government of Tajikistan. Director General of KFAED Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Bader and Tajik Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda signed the MoU.Â
