Indian Envoy To Help Reduce Cost Of Hiring Indian Domestic Workers
The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, H E Sibi George, expressed his country’s readiness to grant Kuwait more facilities to bring in domestic workers and medical staff from India.
He told the Al-Rai daiily that he is working to “reduce the price of recruiting domestic workers to about only 300 dinars.”
When the Indian envoy called on the Acting Director-General of the Public Authority for Manpower, Dr. Mubarak Al-Jafour last week, he discussed issues of common interest, especially matters related to Indian labor, the joint memorandum of understanding, and search for ways to strengthen relations between the Republic of India and the State of Kuwait.
Ambassador George said Kuwait is a state of law with a balanced and moderate policy, stressing the two countries’ keenness on joint cooperation with regard to Indian labor.
For his part, Al-Jafour expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the assistance provided by India especially in the field of labor recruitment from India.
