Driving License Of Expat Housewives And Under Article 22 Not To Be Renewed

The traffic departments in the six Governorates of Kuwait do not have the authority to renew the driving licenses of (housewives) those who fall under Article 22 residence permit, especially those which were issued after 2014, reports Al-Anba daily.

All the renewal requests are to be submitted to the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs.

The office shall ensure that these licenses meet the conditions. The office will also look at the driving licence of the husband to ensure he meets the conditions, most importantly if he is a general manager or assistant general manager or adviser, or any of the segments.

The source confirmed that all the driving licenses for those under Article 22 that were issued citing ‘exemptions’ shall be withdrawn by the Office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Traffic Affairs Major General Jamal Sayegh
