KPWA And Metro Medical Care To Hold Free Medical Camp And Expatriate Welfare Workshop

Kuwait Chapter of Global Kerala Pravasi Welfare Association (KPWA) is organizing a free medical camp and Expatriate Welfare Workshop in collaboration with Metro Medical Care, Farwaniya on 29-September-2017 from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.  KPWA Board Director Sri. N Ajith Kumar will give a detailed speech on the Kerala Government’s various relocation / welfare schemes for returning Kerala expatriates back to country.

Many prominent social activists shall be present on the occasion and India Doctors Forum (IDF) representatives will be providing health awareness classes for expatriates on Kidney/ Diabetes and Cardiac related issues and offer tips to sustain healthy habits. Metro Medical Care’s Management has also announced significant discounts for those who attend the free medical camps. All expatriates, who are financially weaker or disadvantaged, are invited to attend such camps to utilize the free facilities at their convenience.

The expatriate welfare workshop is mainly for Kerala expatriates to help them fill the NORKA / Kerala Government Welfare Scheme applications and explain various government projects started for returning expatriates.

KPWA has grown to 8 countries as community association and established offices in all 14 districts in Kerala within a short time span of 11 months. Organizers say that the Keralite community is enthusiastic to know about KPWA, and join it for the well-being of their own future back in Kerala. The organization is also reminding the expatriate community that they need to think about relocation as a necessity and plan for retirement at the earliest.

KPWA is a global platform for expatriate Keralites aiming to bring global expatriates and ex-expatriate Keralites under a single umbrella regardless of political/communal/caste and regional discrimination. So far, the associations were successfully established in 8 countries including Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Maldives. They have established district committees and offices in all 14 districts and started moving to Taluk/Panchayath level to join ex-expatriates in Kerala. The organization aims to strengthen the Pravasi by giving knowledge, guidance and support to sustain, relocate at any time, work towards healthy living and plan for a better retirement life.

KPWA also supports the uneducated and blue color labor force to understand and utilize Kerala Government policies and projects in the right way. Each official of KPWA is open to serve as a volunteer without financial or material/immaterial benefits at any time. The only reward is the feeling of camaraderie and unity as a community when all jointly come together to think of the stability of their country people in Kerala.

Organizers are urging the Keralite community in Kuwait to join hands with KPWA for the betterment of fellow NRI Keralites regardless of religious, caste, district, political or other differences.

The plan is to bring expatriate Keralites together under one umbrella for rehabilitation projects, enterprising start-up suggestions and projects, to confirm the success of members' projects and to spread awareness of the Kerala government plans for expatriate welfare. Protect the new migrants from exploitation and the knowledge of the unknown with regards to returning to the country are the core objectives of organization.
