French Institute Of Kuwait Cinema Club - Les Grands Esprits

One Thursday a month, the French Institute of Kuwait holds a cinema club during which a French film is screened, with English subtitles, and followed by a discussion in both French and English.

For the month of October, the selected movie is Les Grands Esprits (The Teacher), by Olivier Ayache-Vidal :

François Foucault, veteran professor of French literature at the prestigious Henri IV institute, ends up accepting a position at a public school in the outskirts of Paris in a troubled area. A bit pedantic and prejudiced, François must adapt to a new social reality in which culture and the desire for knowledge are not the priority of his students.
