Seven Years Jail For Obtaining Kuwaiti Citizenship Through Fraud
The Court of Appeals upheld the verdict issued to sentence a correspondent of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Justice to seven-year imprisonment, and return a sum of KD 315,000, which he obtained from the Ministry of Justice, Public Authority of Housing Welfare and Kuwait Credit Bank by forging the nationality of a Kuwaiti citizen who had been missing since 1995 in conjunction with a fugitive Saudi who was convicted of the same punishment. The Public Prosecution charged the suspect of forging citizenship and violating the laws by forging and providing data that was contrary to the truth.
