Expatriate Partners in Kuwait Allegedly Betray Trust and Flee with KD 187,000: Legal Action to Include Suspect on International Wanted List

A security source has reported that a Kuwaiti citizen and an expatriate, who were business partners in a general trading and contracting company, are preparing to file a complaint with the Public Prosecution. They aim to include the name of an expatriate on the international wanted list for allegedly deceiving them and fleeing the country with a total of KD 187,000. The victims took this step after the Hawalli Investigations Department failed to locate the suspect for questioning.

Details of the Betrayal and Misappropriation of Funds

According to the victims' lawyer, the three partners had an agreement that the accused would manage the construction projects for two separate contracts. The 47-year-old accused was entrusted with significant funds to complete the work on two construction plots. However, he reportedly completed only a small portion of the work before absconding with KD 70,000 from the first contract and KD 117,000 from the second, totaling KD 187,000.

The Partners' Agreement and the Breach of Trust

The lawyer explained that the accused had been trusted to oversee the completion of the construction projects, with clear agreements in place. Despite this, the accused allegedly betrayed their trust by misappropriating the funds meant for the construction work, leading to the current legal battle.

Legal Actions and Next Steps

The victims have now sought legal recourse, having registered a case with the authorities. They aim to recover the stolen funds and ensure that the accused is brought to justice for the breach of trust and the theft. The case has been referred to the investigations department as they await further proceedings.

Seeking Justice and Recovery of Stolen Funds

With the hope of recovering their money, the victims are pursuing all legal avenues, including filing a complaint with the Public Prosecution. They aim to have the accused placed on the international wanted list to prevent further attempts to escape justice.
