Salah Al-Saqabi, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, confirmed that no new circulars or directives have been issued concerning an extension of the Eid holiday. He emphasized that the only valid schedule remains the one announced by the Amiri Diwan, in line with the Council of Ministers' decision.

Official Eid Holiday Dates in Kuwait

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) had earlier released the official Eid Al-Adha holiday schedule for the Hijri year 1446. According to the announcement:

  • The holiday will commence on Thursday, June 5, 2025, and continue through Sunday, June 8, 2025, in celebration of the Day of Arafat and Eid Al-Adha.
  • An additional day off has been declared on Monday, June 9, 2025.
  • Regular working hours will resume on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

This schedule applies to all ministries, government agencies, public authorities, and institutions across Kuwait. For entities with special operational needs, the respective administrative authorities will determine their schedules based on public interest requirements.

Warning Against Misinformation

Mr. Al-Saqabi urged citizens and media organizations to exercise extreme caution when publishing or sharing any information allegedly attributed to the Civil Service Bureau. He stressed the importance of verifying details exclusively through the Bureau’s official social media channels and government communication platforms to ensure accuracy.

To avoid falling victim to misinformation, residents are encouraged to follow reliable government updates. The Civil Service Bureau maintains active communication through its official handles to keep the public informed on all matters, including official holidays, government operations, and employment-related announcements.
