New Medical Center Bringing Total Number Of Facilities In Hawally

Minister of Health Dr. Jamal Al-Harbi inaugurated on Sunday a new medical center, bringing the total number of such facilities in Hawally health region up to 17. These projects reflect Kuwaitis' commitment to serving the homeland particularly in this field, he indicated in a statement at the opening of the Late Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Zaid Medical Center in West Mishref.Construction of the two-storey complex, built on a 7,000-square-meter plot of land, has cost more than KD one million. It is staffed and equipped to treat various diseases and illnesses. The Ministry of Health's vision is to equip the medical centers with state-of-art equipment and provide integrated services for patients.On a separate issue, the minister confirmed that he had ordered immediate investigations in the case where a surgeon posted pictures of a female patient undergoing liposuction on social media. The involved doctor is suspected of failing to cover the patient properly.
