Nazaha Refers Former Supervisor At Ministry Of Education To Prosecution
Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) referred a previous supervisor in the Ministry of Education (MoE) to the Public Prosecution on charges of wasting public money. In a press statement, Nazaha said Saturday that the referral of this supervisor to the Public Prosecution comes as part of efforts to combat corruption and its dangers, effects and prosecute its perpetrators. These efforts include receiving and verifying serious reports of corruption, the statement added.
It affirmed its intention to continue efforts and procedures regarding examining and collecting reports and investigating all serious reports received by it. Nazaha expressed appreciation to whistleblowers for their assistance by providing the necessary information on incidents of corruption. It stressed commitment to ensuring they receive the utmost levels of protection and confidentiality supported by the law and under the executive regulations.
