MOI Arrests Expats For Selling Subsidized Goods
As part of its ongoing mission to curb illegal activities, the Criminal Security Sector, through the General Department of Criminal Investigations, conducted intensive campaigns across the Farwaniya and Jahra governorates.
In Farwaniya, the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Investigations Department successfully apprehended an Asian expatriate engaged in the illegal sale of subsidized food supplies. The suspect was also found operating an unlicensed grocery store in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. During the arrest, authorities discovered cash proceeds from the illicit trade, further solidifying the case against the offender.
Construction Material Theft Ring Dismantled in Mutlaa
Meanwhile, in the Jahra Governorate, the Mutlaa Investigations Department dismantled a gang specializing in stealing construction materials from homes under construction. Through rigorous investigative efforts, officials uncovered that the suspects rented vehicles to monitor residential plots before executing their thefts. The stolen materials were then sold, with the proceeds divided among gang members.
Legal Action and Commitment to Security
All arrested individuals, along with the confiscated materials and money, have been referred to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings. The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining security and enforcing strict legal action against law violators, ensuring the protection of both public and private property.
