MoE Prepares To Welcome 500,000 Students; Ministry Of Interior Gears Up For Traffic Control
Ministry of Education Finalizes Preparations for Over 500,000 Students and 105,000 Staff for 2024-2025 School Year
Preparations for the 2024-2025 School Year
The Ministry of Education has completed its extensive preparations to welcome more than 500,000 students and approximately 105,000 faculty and administrative staff for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. According to the academic calendar, first-grade students in Arabic schools will begin classes on September 16th. Elementary, middle, and high school students will start on September 17th, followed by kindergarten students on September 18th.
Infrastructure and Transportation Enhancements
In terms of infrastructure and logistics, the Ministry has introduced several improvements to ensure a smooth start to the school year. Notably, a large fleet of buses equipped with GPS tracking systems has been prepared to enhance student safety and efficient transportation. These buses are strategically deployed to ensure timely commutes for students across various regions.
Road-Awareness Campaign Launched
In a proactive move to address potential traffic congestion, the Ministries of Education and Interior have collaborated to launch a road-awareness media campaign ahead of the school year. This initiative, supported by the Center for Government Communication (CGC) and the Ministry of Information, aims to reduce congestion and ensure smoother traffic flow during peak school hours.
Ensuring Road Safety for All Commuters
The Ministry of Education emphasized via a statement on X (formerly Twitter) that this campaign prioritizes the safety of both students and road users. The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that all its sectors are working tirelessly to ensure that all roads are safe for commuting during the school year. This includes implementing additional measures to regulate traffic flow and minimize delays, particularly during peak hours.
