Ministry Of Information Prepares For Strategic Shift In 2026–2030 Plan
Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, has revealed the Ministry’s new strategic plan for 2026–2030, designed to build upon the accomplishments of the current 2021–2026 strategy and to align with Kuwait’s national development goals and the directives of the country’s political leadership.
The announcement followed a high-level meeting with senior officials and the strategic planning team, including Undersecretary Dr. Nasser Muhaisen, where the new vision was laid out in detail.
“The new strategy marks a transition from challenges to opportunities,” Al-Mutairi stated, adding that it includes a clear, integrated vision and a measurable, actionable roadmap to guide future development.
Four-Phase Strategic Development Approach
- Identifying Future Directions: Based on in-depth research and national objectives.
- Setting Goals and KPIs: Clear, measurable targets and performance indicators.
- Strategic Initiatives: Well-designed programs tailored for media and youth sectors.
- Operational Plans: Realistic timelines for execution with implementation guidelines.
Inclusivity and Collaboration at the Core
The development process will involve broad participation from ministry employees, external partners, and representatives of the private sector and civil society organizations. As with the previous strategy, the planning team is made up of both male and female staff members from within the Ministry, reflecting a commitment to gender inclusivity and institutional engagement.
Launching April 1, 2026
The official launch of the new strategy is scheduled for April 1, 2026. Leading up to this, the Ministry will host a series of consultative meetings, workshops, and public engagements to ensure alignment with Kuwaiti society’s evolving needs, particularly in the fields of media modernization, digital transformation, and youth empowerment.
Al-Mutairi Commends Strategic Planning Team
Al-Mutairi concluded the meeting by praising the strategic planning team for its dedication and collaborative spirit. He emphasized the importance of interdepartmental coordination and stakeholder involvement in shaping the future of Kuwait’s media landscape.
“We are committed to a transparent, inclusive process that engages all stakeholders and reflects Kuwait’s ambitions,” he affirmed.
