Minister Lifts Block On Mandatory MoE Transfers
The Minister of Education, Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, has reiterated his stance against injustice, frequently stating, “I will not accept injustice,” during meetings with ministry leaders and field staff. His recent directive aims to stabilize the educational sector in Kuwait by addressing teacher transfer issues.
Cancellation of Compulsory Teacher Transfers
In a decisive move, Al-Tabtabaei has instructed the immediate cancellation of all decisions regarding the compulsory transfer of teachers. The minister emphasized that teachers should be reinstated to their previous work centers at the start of the second semester, ensuring that the educational process remains uninterrupted.
Preserving Stability in the Educational Sector
The Minister’s primary goal is to ensure stability within the educational sector. Al-Tabtabaei’s recent actions underscore his commitment to creating a conducive learning environment for both teachers and students. Teachers’ well-being and the quality of education are among his top priorities.
Revised Teacher Assignment Based on Location
Al-Tabtabaei has also directed the Coordination Department to assign educational supervisory roles based on proximity to the teachers’ residence. This decision aims to alleviate any unnecessary strain on teachers, preventing forced assignments to distant areas and supporting their work-life balance.
Impact on Educational Process
Despite the administrative changes, most schools in Kuwait have completed their curricula for the semester and are preparing to conduct tests outside the regular schedule. These adjustments ensure minimal disruption to student progress while maintaining the integrity of the academic year.
Focus on Teacher and Student Well-being
The Minister’s actions reflect his ongoing efforts to enhance the teaching environment, ensuring that teachers and students can perform their duties to the fullest. The well-being of both groups remains a priority in Al-Tabtabaei's strategy for education reform.
Conclusion
Through these decisive steps, Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei is committed to stabilizing Kuwait’s education system, creating a better environment for teaching staff, and ensuring that the educational process remains efficient and uninterrupted.
