Kuwait's Economy Is Less Dependent On Tourism Than Other Gcc Countries

In Kuwait, tourism contributed the least to the economy compared to all other GCC countries. In a recent study, the tourism sector contributed only 6.1% to the country's GDP, compared to 10.8% in the UAE, 9.8% in Bahrain, 9.7% in Qatar, 9.4% in Saudi Arabia, and 6.8% in Oman.

Kuwaiti tourism expenditures outside the country are estimated to exceed 4 billion dinars ($14 billion), approximately 11% of GDP, while the country's tourism revenues do not exceed 300 thousand dinars per year.
