Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, led a government delegation on a recent inspection tour of critical infrastructure sites, including the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port on Boubyan Island. Accompanied by a team of Chinese government experts and engineers specializing in large-scale development projects, the Kuwaiti delegation embarked on discussions aimed at advancing the strategic partnership established during His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s visit to China last September.

The visit signifies a significant stride forward in the realization of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project, hailed as a cornerstone of Kuwait's development aspirations. Minister Al-Mashaan engaged in fruitful discussions with the Chinese delegation, emphasizing the importance of fostering technical and economic collaboration, particularly in the realm of large-scale projects in Kuwait.

Technical deliberations centered on enhancing cooperation in construction and project execution to align with the vision of Kuwaiti leadership. The Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project holds strategic significance within Kuwait's development strategy and economic ambitions, positioning itself as a pivotal driver of the national economy in the years ahead.

Planned to be among the largest ports in the Middle East, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port aims to facilitate trade with Central and East Asia, playing a crucial role in the revitalization of the Silk Road. Beyond its economic impact, the project is poised to attract significant foreign investment while fostering local economic growth.

Moreover, the development of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port is anticipated to enhance Kuwait's infrastructure, spur development in the northern region, and create ample employment opportunities for Kuwaiti youth. The project extends its influence beyond the port, with plans to transform Boubyan Island into a vibrant tourist destination.
