Kuwait Partners With Google Cloud To Boost Digital Integration
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) during the inauguration of the "Apigee Roundtable"—a high-level discussion organized in collaboration with Google Cloud—Al-Omar emphasized that the project is a cornerstone in Kuwait's Vision 2035 for a smart, connected government ecosystem.
Enhancing Government Services Through Seamless Digital Experience
Al-Omar highlighted that this initiative goes beyond a technical transformation. It aims to create an integrated digital environment that provides users with a seamless, effective experience, improving the citizen journey and aligning with national development goals.
The minister further noted that success relies on robust coordination among government agencies. He stressed that each institution acts as a crucial building block in achieving comprehensive digital transformation in Kuwait.
Strengthening Inter-Governmental Data Exchange
Kuwait’s vision for digital integration includes the development of a central platform to enable seamless data sharing among government entities. This will significantly streamline administrative processes, reduce paperwork, and improve operational efficiency.
Partnership Backed by Google Cloud and KDIPA
Shaima Al-Terkait, Director of Google Cloud in Kuwait, expressed pride in their collaboration with the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA). She affirmed that this partnership supports both public and private sectors in adopting innovative cloud solutions that will advance the nation's digital economy.
Al-Terkait also noted that the digital linkage project aims to reduce complexities, accelerate government transactions, and strengthen public trust in e-government services.
Role of CAIT and Apigee in the Platform
Rao Surapaneni, Vice President of Platforms and Applications at Google Cloud, reiterated the significance of using Apigee API management capabilities to enhance inter-agency connections. In partnership with the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), the initiative is expected to boost Kuwait’s ability to deliver faster, more efficient services to citizens and residents.
Surapaneni added that the project will ensure a secure digital infrastructure for government data management, fostering innovation in both public and private sectors and accelerating the path toward a sustainable digital economy.
Conclusion: Kuwait Enters a New Digital Era
As Kuwait takes firm steps toward digital transformation, its collaboration with Google Cloud reflects a broader commitment to modernize services, improve performance, and support economic sustainability under New Kuwait 2035.
