A woman in Saudi Arabia was divorced by her husband merely for walking ahead of him despite repeated warnings, according to NDTV. The man who has not been identified gave his wife repeated warnings to keep a step behind him, but she kept walking ahead of him after which, he divorced her, The Gulf News quoted the Saudi daily Al Watan as saying.
While this case was enough to make everyone wonder why it happened. In another case, a Saudi man divorced his wife after she forgot to serve the sheep’s head (“which is supposed to be the most important part of dinner”) while serving food as her husband was hosting his friend at their house, the report said. The wife was quoted as saying that once the guests left, her husband accused her of embarrassing him by forgetting to serve the most important part of the dinner to his guests.
