The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Gulf Cup Arabian Football Championship (Gulf 26), led by Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, has reviewed the latest organizational preparations for the tournament, set to take place in Kuwait from December 21 to January 3.

Meeting Highlights and Sponsorship Presentation

According to a press release from the Public Authority for Sport, the recent meeting included a presentation from Zain, the official sponsor of the tournament. The discussion focused on several important topics, particularly the upcoming championship draw ceremony scheduled for November 9.

The presentation also showcased proposed designs for Fan Zone areas in three key locations near the tournament’s stadiums:

  • Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium
  • Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium
  • ‘Murooj’ Park

These designs have been approved in preparation for implementation, enhancing the fan experience during the tournament.

Minister Al-Mutairi’s Vision for the Tournament

During the meeting, Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized the necessity for all relevant authorities to intensify their efforts to ensure a remarkable organization of this Gulf sports festival. He highlighted the importance of aligning the tournament with the political leadership's directives, aiming to present the championship in a way that showcases the depth of Gulf and Arab relations.
