Blood Moon and Supermoon Captivate Kuwait’s Skies

On Wednesday evening, the skies above Kuwait were illuminated by a mesmerizing giant blood moon. This celestial spectacle followed a partial lunar eclipse, which began at 3:14 a.m. and peaked at 4:55 a.m.

The moon, captured at 6:19 p.m. by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), appeared 14 percent larger than its usual size due to its close proximity to Earth. This phenomenon, commonly referred to as a supermoon, not only made the moon appear larger but also brighter, casting a stunning crimson glow across the sky.

The rare sight captivated onlookers and was a reminder of the beauty and grandeur of astronomical events.
