Eid Start Hinges On Saturday Crescent Sighting
The Ministry of Justice has announced that the Crescent Sighting Board will convene on Saturday evening, March 29, at the Supreme Judicial Council to observe and confirm the Shawwal crescent moon. According to Al-Seyassah, individuals who personally sight the crescent moon are urged to contact the board at 25376934 to verify the sighting.
Extending warm greetings, the ministry congratulated all citizens and residents on this blessed occasion.
Eid al-Fitr Prayers Scheduled for 5:56 AM Across Kuwait
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has confirmed that Eid al-Fitr prayers will be held at 5:56 AM in 57 designated prayer grounds across the country, as well as in mosques where Friday prayers are regularly conducted.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Assistant Undersecretary for Mosques Affairs Bader Al-Otaibi issued a circular listing the public squares, youth centers, and model sports fields where worshippers can gather for the special prayers.
Preparations for Eid and Community Participation
As Kuwait prepares for Eid celebrations, authorities have ensured that prayer sites are clean, organized, and accessible to accommodate large gatherings. The announcement serves as a reminder for residents to plan their participation in Eid prayers accordingly.
