Eid Al Fitr Holidays In Kuwait - 3 Or 5 Days
The Council of Ministers in Kuwait, chaired by Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, held its weekly meeting on Thursday and approved the official Eid al-Fitr holiday schedule for government employees.
Eid Holiday Duration Based on Moon Sighting
The holiday duration will depend on the official sighting of the Shawwal moon, which determines the start of Eid al-Fitr 2025:
If Eid falls on Sunday, March 30, 2025:
- A three-day holiday will be granted for ministries, government agencies, and public institutions.
- Official work will resume on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
If Eid begins on Monday, March 31, 2025:
- A five-day holiday will be observed.
- The break will start from Sunday, March 30, 2025, and continue until Thursday, April 3, 2025.
- Work will resume on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Exceptions for Essential Services
For institutions providing essential services, the holiday schedule will be determined by their respective authorities to ensure uninterrupted public services.
