Car Entry Into Iraq Without A 10% Deposit
Citizens and residents no longer need to pay the 10 percent vehicle value deposit in order to enter Iraq with their own vehicles if they hold a visa. As the new mechanism is established for merely applying the international customs rule for automobiles and two-wheelers (KT), without the deposit that was previously in force, the decision will make it easier for individuals desiring to enter Iraq for onward voyage to countries like Turkey, Jordan, or Iran.

The Iraqi embassy in Kuwait reported that the General Authority of Customs in Iraq has authorised the new system for the admission and exit of cars and two-wheelers with Kuwaiti or international licence plates into the Republic of Iraq.
