Beach Barbecuing: Five Designated Sites Unveiled
Faisal Al-Otaibi, Director of the Cleaning and Road Occupations Department in the Hawalli Governorate Municipality Branch and Chairman of the Spring Camps Committee, has announced the selection of five locations for authorized barbecuing.
The chosen sites include three open areas on Al-Blajat Street (details to be announced by the company), and two enclosed sites at Al-Aqila Beach and Al-Khiran Park.
Open sites on Al-Blajat Street will be complimentary, while entry to the enclosed sites will incur a fee managed by the Tourism enterprise company.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the committee has established guidelines: barbecues should not be on sand or crops, designated containers must be used for charcoal ash, and these containers should be elevated. Surveillance cameras will monitor the sites, and specific hours for barbecuing activities will be designated.
Unauthorized barbecuing outside the specified areas may result in fines ranging from 500 dinars to 2000 dinars.
