Al Salhia Group Revitalizes Kuwait City's Oldest Landmark: 'Anwar Al Sabah' Complex Redevelopment
Salhia Real Estate Company has recently finalized the acquisition of the renowned "Anwar Al-Sabah" towers, a significant landmark situated on Fahd Al-Salem Street in the Salhiya area of Kuwait City. This strategic move positions the company for a transformative development project in the heart of the city.
As per local reports, the Salhia Real Estate Company is set to embark on an ambitious journey to revitalize and enhance the "Anwar Al-Sabah" complex. The comprehensive redevelopment plan includes the establishment of a new commercial complex, with the entire project slated for completion within a span of three years.
Originally approved by the Municipal Council on March 24, 1975, the redevelopment initiative for the "Anwar Al-Sabah" buildings was initiated by the heirs of the late Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The historical significance of this complex, nestled in the heart of Kuwait City, adds a layer of cultural and architectural importance to the endeavor.
The initial phase of the project, covering an expansive area of 3,102.58 square meters, was successfully executed. However, challenges surfaced during the implementation of the second phase, primarily due to the complexities associated with evacuating and demolishing aged structures. These challenges temporarily hindered progress, resulting in the project remaining incomplete.
Salhia Real Estate Company's strategic acquisition of "Anwar Al-Sabah" towers signals a new chapter for this iconic site. The forthcoming development aims to seamlessly blend modern commercial spaces with the historical charm of the existing structures, offering a unique and vibrant experience for both residents and visitors alike.
