Kuwait Arrested 18 Drug Dealers
As part of ongoing security operations aimed at combating the trafficking and trade of narcotic drugs, the Drug Enforcement Authorities have apprehended 18 individuals across 15 cases. These individuals were found in possession of approximately 20 kilograms of various narcotic substances, 11,800 psychotropic pills, unlicensed firearms and ammunition, as well as proceeds from drug sales.
The Ministry of Interior, under supervision of senior leadership, remains committed to combating the proliferation of drugs and psychotropic substances, along with tracking down their distributors and smugglers.
Led by the Criminal Security Sector’s General Administration for Combating Narcotics, the arrests were made after thorough investigations. The seized items included chemicals, crystal meth, hashish, marijuana, cocaine, and heroin. Upon interrogation, the defendants confessed to their involvement in drug trafficking and abuse. They, along with the confiscated items, have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for legal action.
The Ministry of Interior emphasizes its ongoing efforts to apprehend individuals involved in the drug trade, aiming to safeguard society. It underscores the importance of collaborative efforts to eradicate drug dealers and urges the public to report any suspicious activities to emergency services (112) or the Narcotics Control General Administration hotline (1884141).
