Zain Participates In Awarding Winners Of Kuwait International Rally
Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, participated in awarding the first place winners of the Kuwait International Rally 2018 organized by the Kuwait International Automobile Club (KIAC) in collaboration with the Public Authority for Sport and Basel Salem Al Sabah Motor Racing Club (BMRC). The rally, organized from Nov 1-3, was held at the Kuwait Motor Town Race Circuit, and Zain’s participation in the awarding ceremony came as part of its main sponsorship to the event.
Zain’s main sponsorship of the Kuwait International Rally 2018 came in line with its keenness on encouraging the various efforts that contribute to developing the Kuwaiti Youth and Sports sectors. The company puts the support of Kuwaiti sports at the forefront of its priorities under the umbrella of its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy, and Zain’s support of Kuwaiti champions have resulted in many achievements throughout the previous years.
Zain participated in awarding the first place winners of the Kuwait International Rally 2018 during the conclusion ceremony held at the Kuwait Motor Town Race Circuit, where the rally is considered the first international event to be organized inside the circuit. The company takes pride in supporting this rally, as such an international sporting event surely raised the name of Kuwaiti sports within the global sporting community.
Zain strongly believes in the important role the private sector plays in developing the Youth and Sports sectors in Kuwait. The company makes this concept a reality by sponsoring and supporting various major sporting events in Kuwait, including this international rally, as well as sponsoring and encouraging many Kuwaiti athletes who represent Kuwait in local, regional, and international arenas. Many of these athletes, who achieved great titles that the company takes pride in, are in motorsports.
It is worth mentioning that the Kuwait International Rally 2018 was considered the fourth round of the Middle East Rally Championship 2018 (MERC), which is run under the auspices of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile). The championship features five rounds taking place in Jordan, Cyprus, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Qatar, and witnesses the participation of a great number of Middle Eastern champions, including many Kuwaiti champions. The rally was organized by the Kuwait International Automobile Club (KIAC), which is an official member of the FIA, AIT (Alliance Internationale de Tourisme), FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), and IRU (International Road Transport Union), and in collaboration with the Public Authority for Sport and Basel Salem Al Sabah Motor Racing Club (BMRC).
