Yemeni Arrested For Begging

Securitymen from the Capital Governorate have arrested an unidentified Yemeni for begging for alms in Mubarakiya Souk, reports Al-Shahed daily. The beggar claimed he is an amputee to win sympathy of passersby and when police asked him to show his ID, the man tried in vain to escape. He was chased and arrested by a pedestrian. Police found one of the hands of the man has been amputated. However, he has been handed over to the area police station.
